The results of a survey carried out by the pharmaceutical company GSK and the Kantar institute indicate that 49% of Brazilians do not receive information about vaccines as they would like, despite approving this immunization system. This is due to the fact that some campaigns are aimed at specific audiences, among other factors.
At health centers, vaccines are directed to each group. For adults, the Ministry of Health recommends doses for hepatitis B, diphtheria and tetanus, triple viral (measles, mumps and rubella) and yellow fever. For the elderly, vaccines against hepatitis B, diphtheria and tetanus, 23-valent pneumococcal and influenza, the virus that cause influenza, are indicated.
According to health experts, in addition to this form of immunization, the ideal of communication for vaccination campaigns is that they are complemented with the importance of maintaining healthy habits, such as good nutrition and physical exercise.
Another essential aspect for the effectiveness of immunobiologicals is their correct conservation. The ideal temperature conditions are in the temperature range between 2ºC and 8ºC in order to maintain the integrity and immunizing characteristics of the vaccines. Such conditions are possible with the use of scientific smart refrigerators, equipment registered with the Brazilian Ministry of Health/ANIVSA and FDA, which meet all technological and legal requirements for the correct storage of doses.
