The health of the city of Santa Rosa, in Rio Grande do Sul, provides another example of care with the conservation of vaccines. In order to provide better quality in the extramural vaccination service, Biotecno provided the Municipal Health Foundation - FUMSSAR – with a Smart Thermal Box, specific equipment to ensure the integrity of vaccines during transport.
The portable scientific refrigerator replaces common coolers, adding the technology needed to keep vaccines in the temperature range between 2°C and 8°C and enabling conservation monitoring. The equipment was delivered to FUMSSAR Financial Administrative Director, Rogério Silva Santos, by Biotecno Support and After-Sales Manager, Clairton.
With a digitally controlled refrigeration system, Smart Thermal Box replaces traditional coolers with gelox, or recyclable ice, which required time-consuming preparation techniques and offered a risk of freezing vaccines. The Smart Thermal Box has two hours of energy autonomy and can be recharged during transport, connected to the vehicle 12v output. If there is any temperature deviation situation, the smart refrigerator issues automatic alerts and records in its memory all storage data, such as minimum and maximum temperatures reached. All this care with the conservation of vaccines is reflected in the effective immunization of the population, as it preserves all the immunizing properties of the doses.
